“Omnipresence” is inspired by the sartorial uniforms of the Napoleonic Wars, with influences coming from the Hussars and Cuirassiers. Military braiding reinterpreted into bright pop colors and playful fluffy fur medals help add a light hearted element. Calvary couture with sprinkled in impeccable qualities of the British Raj’s uniforms with hyper detailed 3D digital printed fabrics, and layers of outer wear over sheer technical layers and specially treated furs create this “Modern warfare goes luxe!”
DIRTY PAWS is based on the use of Christian Allegories and symbolism in media aimed at young people, namely video games and the furry subculture. As they use sources that on one end of the scale are an obvious social commentary on the state of organzied religion, to others which are more subtle with their motives.
Pang’s collection is a collage that re-frames and re-creates existing elements of menswear, to bring disorder to the logic and communication of design, and to challenge the aesthetic and function of fashion.
Pang’s collection debunks the conventional ideas of contemporary menswear silhouettes and turns them into unexpected forms, a conceptual menswear collection related to modern art references, transforming artwork into the silhouette, shape, details, colour and textiles, and retain the balance between eccentric and wearable.
